Over the weekend more than 600 parts of artwork emerging in Paris, critiquing the corporate sponsor of the COP2 1 climate talks taking place there during the next two weeks. Set in advertising spaces across the city, the posters purport to show how major polluters try to promote themselves as part of the answer when actually they are part of the problem.

Organized by the activist group Brandalism, the parody posters poke fun at and aim to expose not just the obvious corporate hypocrisy ofcompanies contributing to climate change patronizing the climate talks, but also that of its most important world leaders, such as President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, President Franois Hollande, and Prime Minister David Cameron.

The group states that: We are taking their rooms back because we want to defy the character advertising plays in promoting unsustainable consumerism. Because the advertising industry force feeds our desires for concoctions developed from fossil fuel, they are intimately are attached to making climate change. The artworks have been created by over 80 artists from 19 countries across the globe.
